Coastal Electrical worked with Picnic Island in the construction of our accommodation on this very difficult island location on the Freycinet Peninsula. They have worked within our budget to sort out the complex solutions required for our off grid setup. Andrew has always been a pleasure to work with and always goes the extra mile to make sure that things are done right. We recently installed solar panels and batteries and Andrew has provided fantastic back up support as we learn to use the system. When we have needed him urgently to resolve issues he always finds time to sort things out.

We were lucky enough as Owner Builders to be introduced to Andrew and his team at Coastal when we engaged our subcontractors to build a large mid-century monolithic home of rammed earth, concrete, steel and glass. Being such inflexible materials, the build was extremely inflexible once the floor was poured and the rammed earth walls erected. Any change, upgrade or variation was a nightmare to navigate.

I was so impressed with Andrew’s level of professionalism and his ability to balance our relationship and the complexities of the site, while also juggling his rapidly growing business with a gap in the market for skilled workers.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Andrew highly enough. Our home was followed by Grand Designs and the pressure-cooker that we were all under to finish the job according to Fremantle Media on behalf of Foxtel’s time table was at times excruciating. Peter Maddison commented on the lighting on several occasions and the chandelier that we custom made for the lounge room was an absolute feature. Andrew also scoped and rolled out our solar system. We are just so over-the-moon at the savings we are achieving with this. But my real thanks goes to Andrew for all the spaghetti that goes behind the scenes in the walls, under the floor and in the roof. You were amazing and we couldn’t have done it without you.
